Understand, Empower, Act, and Transform
Therapy should be a place of comfort and compassion, while also being an opportunity to build understanding, insight, and skills.
I believe in making strong connections with, and being strong advocates for my clients. I have experience treating a wide variety of issues and disorders, especially anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stress/adjustment issues. I strive to create a warm and accepting environment where change and growth is possible. I have a focus on skill building, solutions focused therapy using a CBT/DBT based approach to help you address and work to improve your ability to cope and help make an impact on your stressful situations. I have worked with a wide range of clients, (age, race, LGBTQIA+, as well as couples). My goal is after each session you are in a better place, and better equipped, to move forward in your life. Having worked in primary care I am familiar how medical issues and mental health challenges sometimes go hand in hand, and when medication management of behavioral health issues may be beneficial.
Session frequency is flexible and based on your needs and schedule. Appointments could be as frequent as weekly varying all the way to once every 4-6 weeks, and frequency can change as your need and situation changes. I currently accept Harvard Pilgrim, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, most Tufts Insurance plans, and Optum/United Health Care (which is the behavioral health insurance of many larger health insurance companies such as Mass General Brigham Health Plans, and many others). If I am not in network with your insurance company, I am happy to provide you with an invoice you may be able to submit for reimbursement, depending on your plan’s benefits.
I am available to answer any questions. I look forward to helping you feel better.
